I went to Oahu for the Labor Day Week, for a long-but-not-long-enough 8-day, 7-night blow out. I'm still waiting for the still pictures to develop, so these are only some of the digital pictures I took on the trip. There were four of us: Noel, my old roommate from Walnut Creek, and his cousins Ben and J.P. Here we are at Germaine's Luau:
We got a great deal on a condo right in the middle of Waikiki, called the Waikiki SkyTower. It's located on Cleghorn Ave. -- I was apprehensive at first because when I think of Hawaiian street names, "Cleghorn" is not the first thing to pop into my head. Still, it has a great view and you can really feel the warm Hawaiian breezes from its balcony. When we first got there, it was raining, and I thought the reason we got such a great deal for the whole package was because we came to Hawaii during the storm season. I quickly learned that the rain comes and goes.
We did lots of things there. We didn't do too much sightseeing, but we saw more and did more than most tourists there. One group of girls from New Zealand did in a whole week what we accomplished in one day! Of the pics I have and stories I'm allowed to tell, you can learn more about our condo, when we went to a luau, when we went parasailing, or our trek into a 2,000 year-old rainforest. Or you can go back to the main page. Mahalo! (Thank you!)
